As a school we will celebrating Safer Internet Day.

Throughout the day your child will complete a variety of activities about ESafety and will clearly understnad how to remain safe on line.

Please find below resources relating to this, there are lots of activities that you can complete with your child.

  • ESafety Online news, social media and digital platforms have given us easy access to information and instant connection to the world. However, it has also provided an unregulated space where false or misleading information can spread quickly and cause great harm. This is called Misinformation. With nearly half of people in Wales now relying on social media for their news, it is important to be aware that there is a lot of inaccurate information online posing as the truth. So the next time you see a news story, image or meme online remember to stop, think and check.

Help Video - Accessing Google Classroom and Google Meet using the Hwb Platform

This video will help you access Google Classroom and Google Meet. You will need your child's Hwb login and password to access the Hwb platform. The help video will then show you how to find Google for Education and how to find your child/ren's Google Classroom page. The video then explains how to participate in Google Meet. Parents / carers will need to complete the Home / School Agreement for Online Teaching before your child is able to participate in Google Meet. When you have finished activities on Hwb please remember to log out of Hwb or your device may remember usernames which may cause difficulties when another user uses the device.

Class Dojo

As you are aware the Foundation Phase classes are using Class Dojo.

It is a great resource that allows us to communicate with parents and share class pictures and information.

So far we have had lots of positive feedback from parents and carers.
