Class 9 - Mrs Witheridge

Welcome to Class 9.

Please see our class information below:

  • Our P.E. day is a Wednesday so please send your child to school wearing appropriate clothing/footwear.

  • Our outdoor learning day is a Tuesday, so please send your child to school in clothing that you don't mind getting wet/dirty.

  • Please provide your child with a pair of wellies that can be left in school for our outdoor learning activities.

  • We shall be continuing to read daily in class and reading books are changed weekly to be read at home. Reading books shall be changed on a Friday but please ensure reading books are in school daily. In order for your child to make good progress, please support your child with their reading by practising frequently.

  • Home tasks will be set every Friday. We will continue to use Class DoJo to post homework details, information, pictures and class updates. Parents can also communicate via the messages on Class DoJo.

  • Please ensure that your child brings a water bottle labelled with their name to school everyday and jumpers and cardigans are clearly labelled too.

  • As part of the Public Health Wales Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School Scheme National Awards Criteria children are encouraged to bring in their own water bottle, labelled with their name, with a sports cap, so they have access to water. Please send in the bottles cleaned and filled each morning. Children can refill bottles using water fountains, if required during the day.

  • Children are encouraged to bring in fruit from home for a snack at morning break. No sweets or snacks other than fruit is allowed. Mid-morning milk is provided for pupils in the Nursery and Infant Department.

  • Equipment needed by the children during school will be provided by the school. Please do not send in toys, keyrings, notebooks, pencil cases etc to avoid your child becoming upset if items accidentally get lost or broken during in school.

  • On occasions may ask for specific items to be sent in to support learning activities and this request will be sent via email or Class Dojo.

  • Pupils will be attending mainstream classes on a Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons with their peers.

If you have any questions at any time, please do not hesitate to phone the school office on 01656 815840, leave a message and I will return your call as soon as I can.

Many thanks for your continued support.
